![]() ![]() For more of a detailed explanation on the coordinate systems, see the VRED Camera section. Scaling the point cloud is done by holding the Grip buttons on both controllers (or just the A button on the right-hand Valve Index controller) and spreading. Note: See Viewpoints for how to create this viewpoint. We can discuss this later in PM if you want. Create a viewpoint (Scene > Camera Editor, right-click and select Create > Viewpoint) on the floor of the scene, where you want to stand in VR. I've a lot of ideas about that because I work a lot with point cloud as an archaeologist and I face those interface/program problems on a daily basis ! I was thinking of launching a reasearch project in order to experiment/explore point cloud visualization and VR problematic. ![]() Then you have to make some gui choice about the way you move around and in the data, the tools you need to take measurements series and how they show up on the cloud. In order to visualize them it is a necessity to have a real time decimation of the point cloud as you can see in Potree or CloudCompare. ![]() First we have the data size constraint, most of us are working with multimillions/billions point cloud. ![]() I'm a bit in a hurry right now but later today I will give more explanation about what I mean by "manipulation". I am aware of the unity "trick", but it really feels like a placeholder for basic point cloud visualization more than a real solution. I did not know about your software, but it seems to be a fresh release as I can see december the 1st on your website ! I'm downloading it right now, and I will give you some feedback as soon as possible. ![]()
